Mountain Beaver Skull #00051
This is the skull of a mountain beaver!
The mountain beaver is an unusual rodent native to North America. It is the only living member of the genus Aplodontia and not closely-related to true beavers. It has many primitive characteristics and is considered a “living fossil.”
This is a very nice example of the uncommon species with all teeth and an attractive natural patina. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
