Rock Hyrax Skull #00061
This is the skull of a juvenile rock hyrax!
The rock hyrax is an unusual small mammal native to Africa and the Middle East. Despite its resemblance to a rodent or rabbit, it is more closely related to elephants and sea cows!
This is a very nice juvenile example of the species with emerging adult dentition. It’s the only subadult hyrax specimen we’ve ever had. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
