This is the skull of a common degu!
The common degu is a small caviomorph rodent native to Chile. Its genus Octodon refers to its unusual figure-eight-shaped molars. This species is relatively uncommon in collections.
This is a great mature example of the species in excellent condition. It was beetle-cleaned and lightly disinfected with hydrogen peroxide. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
