The West African mud turtle is a side-necked turtle native to western and central Africa. It is occasionally kept as a pet.
This is the skull and shell of a mature adult specimen that died in captivity. The skull is in great condition with the sclerotic rings intact. The shell has been beetle-cleaned only. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
