This is the skull of an American bison!

The iconic American bison is a large bovid native to the grasslands of North America. It is one of the largest extant bovids and the biggest North American land mammal. Large bulls may weigh more than a ton!
This is a wonderful stillborn captive example of the species in excellent condition with intact nasal turbinates and emerging deciduous (baby) dentition. It is rare to find examples of the species at this age! This is the only one we’ve ever offered for sale. The mandible is lightly glued to the skull, but can easily be separated. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
