This is the skull of a Eurasian collared dove!
The Eurasian collared dove (Streptopelia decaocto) is a bird native to Europe and Asia and introduced elsewhere. It is a medium-sized dove with a black half-collar of feathers on the nape.
This is a nice example of the species. It was beetle-cleaned and whitened in strong hydrogen peroxide. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is a legal bird skull – it is not from an ESA- or MBTA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
