Premium Common Raccoon Dog Skull #00298
This is the skull of a common raccoon dog!
Neither raccoon nor dog, the raccoon dog is a primitive fox-like canid native to East Asia. It resembles a raccoon with its mask-like facial markings, stocky body, and short fluffy tail.
This is a beautiful premium adult example from a US collection with an excellent set of teeth and intact nasal turbinates – rare for this species! It was properly degreased and whitened with hydrogen peroxide. They don’t get much nicer! This specimen exhibits hypodontia – it is naturally missing two teeth. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
