Domestic Dog Skull #00301
This is the skull of a domestic dog!
First domesticated over 15,000 years ago from an now-extinct wolf lineage, the dog was the first species to be domesticated by humans. Today, there are hundreds of distinct dog breeds that vary widely in size, appearance, and behavioral traits.
This is a cool vintage example of the mesocephalic (medium-headed) type with good bone condition and intact nasal turbinates. The exact breed of this specimen is unknown, but it resembles a pitbull. The atlas bone is glued to the occipital condyles and the mandible is glued to the skull. There is a repaired crack on the mandible and the skull is sealed. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
