Indian Peacock Skull #00305
This is the skull of an Indian peacock!
Originally native to India, the Indian peafowl (Pavo cristatus) has been introduced to many countries. The male peacock has a beautiful elaborate train of tail feathers that it uses in breeding displays. The skull of this species is relatively uncommon in collections.
This is a nice example of the species, although it was roughly cleaned and could use further cleaning. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is a legal bird skull – it is not from an ESA- or MBTA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
