Domestic Dog Skull #00361

This is the skull of a domestic dog!

First domesticated over 15,000 years ago from an now-extinct wolf lineage, the dog was the first species to be domesticated by humans. Today, there are hundreds of distinct dog breeds that vary widely in size, appearance, and behavioral traits.
This is a nice vintage example of the mesocephalic (medium-headed) type with a few flaws. It is missing a few teeth and has some minor damage. The mandible is glued to the maxilla and it could use further cleaning. The exact breed of this specimen is unknown, but it resembles a small terrier. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
