Linnaeus’s Two-Toed Sloth Wet Specimen #00411
This is a wet specimen Linnaeus’s two-toed sloth!
This specimen was ethically sourced. In died naturally in captivity.
The Linnaeus’s two-toed sloth is a famously slow-moving arboreal mammal native to South America. It is one of two two-toed sloth species, distinguished from the distantly-related three-toed sloths by the number of digits on its front limbs. This species is rare and highly sought-after in collections, and this is the only wet specimen example we’ve ever offered for sale.
This is a wonderful captive juvenile example of the species in excellent condition. This tiny baby was born in captivity, but sadly failed to thrive despite all efforts to save it. It lives on as an adorable wet-preserved specimen. It was properly formalin fixed and is ready for display. There is some minor fur slippage around the face, but it is in excellent condition otherwise with all tiny details intact.
A jar is included. Specimen will be shipped wrapped in alcohol-soaked paper towels and bagged. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
