This is the skull and partial skeleton of a Brazilian prehensile-tailed porcupine!

The Brazilian prehensile-tailed porcupine is a large arboreal rodent native to South America. It has a long prehensile tail that it uses to grip branches while climbing.
This is a beautiful adult example of the species in excellent condition. It died naturally in captivity. It was beetle-cleaned, degreased, and whitened with hydrogen peroxide. The skeleton is missing some limb elements but is mostly complete. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
