This is the skull of a greater cane rat!
The greater cane rat is a large rodent native to Africa. Though it is called a “rat,” it is a hystricognath rodent related to porcupines and mole-rats.
This is an nice extra-large adult example of the species in great shape with all teeth. It was sourced from a US collection. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
