Aardwolf Skull #00595
This is the skull of an aardwolf!
The aardwolf is a small, striped, insect-eating mammal native to Africa. It is actually a species of hyena: the smallest extant species and the last surviving member of the “dog-like” hyena lineage. Hyena skulls are highly coveted and getting harder to find.
This is a nice adult example of the uncommon species with some flaws. It is missing an incisor, has slightly lesser bone quality, and has some minor damage to the underside of the skull. Regardless, it is still a rare species and displays well. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
