This is the skull of a tailless tenrec!

Tenrecs are unusual afrotherian mammals native to Madagascar. Some species resemble rodents or hedgehogs. The tailless tenrec is the largest species of tenrec, weighing up to 2 kilograms.
This is a nice subadult example of the rare species in good vintage condition. It is missing a few teeth. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
