This is the fossil skull of an oreodont!
Oreodonts are a diverse group of prehistoric artiodactyls distantly related to camels. They were were widespread in North America during the Oligocene and Miocene.
This is a beautiful and interesting skull of the sheep-sized oreodont Merycoidodon culbersoni. It is presented on an attractive wooden stand. It does not appear to have any restoration. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
