Brown Bear Skull #00647

This is the skull of a brown bear!

The brown bear is a widespread and variable bear species native to North America and Eurasia. It varies greatly in size across its range; the biggest brown bear subspecies compete with the polar bear as the largest living land carnivoran.
This is a huge mature male example originally from a museum collection. It measures approximately 16 1/2 inches long and 10 inches wide with the mandible, making it one of – if not the – largest brown bear skulls we’ve ever offered. And that’s saying something, because we’ve had some monsters! This skull has some repaired damage to both sides of the cranium and is missing two incisors and one tiny premolar, but it is truly impressive otherwise with a unique, almost canid appearance and a huge sagittal crest. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. However, brown bear parts are restricted in some states, so please know your local laws before inquiring. US sales only, sorry!
