This is the skull of a mountain cottontail!

The mountain cottontail is a rabbit species native to intermountain areas of the Western United States and parts of Canada. It is a fairly uncommon find – this is the first example of the species we’ve had.
Originally from a museum collection, this is an excellent example of the species in great condition. It has all teeth and intact nasal turbinates. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
