The Japanese quail (Coturnix japonica) is a species of small Old World quail native to East Asia. It was domesticated in 11th or 12th century Japan and is now commonly raised for meat and eggs.
This is a nice captive example of the species. It was beetle-cleaned and whitened in strong hydrogen peroxide. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
