Alexander Archipelago Wolf Skull #00843

This is the skull of an Alexander Archipelago wolf!

The gray wolf is a canine native to North America, Europe, and Asia. It is the largest extant wild canid and is highly social and intelligent. The Alexander Archipelago wolf or Islands wolf is a wolf endemic to the islands and coastal areas of southeast Alaska. Like many island-dwelling populations, it is smaller than the mainland populations.
This is a beautiful large example of the subspecies with intact nasal turbinates and excellent teeth. It measures 10 1/4 inches long. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
