Six-Banded Armadillo Skull #00891
This is the skull of a six-banded armadillo!
The six-banded armadillo is an unusual armored mammal found in South America. It is named for the six bands on its carapace. It is the third largest extant species of armadillo, only outsized by the giant armadillo and greater long-nosed armadillo.
This is an excellent example of the uncommon species sourced from a US collection, complete with the head shield. It is naturally missing one tooth and could use further degreasing. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
