This is the skull of a Hottentot duck!
The Hottentot duck (Spatula hottentota) or Hottentot teal is a species of dabbling duck native to Africa and Madagascar.
This is an excellent captive example of the species in good condition. It was beetle-cleaned and whitened in strong hydrogen peroxide. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is a legal bird skull – it is not from an ESA- or MBTA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
