Lowland Paca Skull #00988

This is the skull of a lowland paca!

The lowland paca is a large rodent native to Central and South America. Adults have enlarged, rugose zygomatic arches that are used as resonated chambers for calls. Skulls of this species are highly sought-after in collections.
This is a beautiful young male example of the rare species. It is larger than the examples we have offered in the past, with developing textured zygomatic arches. This skull is complete with all teeth and intact nasal turbinates. It has a small stain on the top, but is otherwise excellent. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
