This is the skull of a mountain cottontail!
The mountain cottontail is a rabbit species native to intermountain areas of the Western United States and parts of Canada. It is a fairly uncommon find – this is one of only a few examples of the species we’ve had.
Originally from a museum collection, this is an good example of the species with chipped lower incisors. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
