The famous giant anteater is a large, strikingly marked and unusual insectivorous animal native to Central and South America. It is the largest of the four living anteater species, weighing up to 50 kilograms. Giant anteater items are rare and highly coveted in natural history collections, with skulls and mounts going for over $5000.
This is a really cool wallhanger pelt from a adult specimen. It is the only giant anteater hide we have ever had! It is not complete or mountable, but still an incredibly rare and distinctive piece. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
