Hamadryas Baboon Skull #01022

This is the skull of a hamadryas baboon!

The hamadryas baboon is an uncommon and distinct Old World monkey native to a small region in the Horn of Africa. It is smaller than the chacma baboon and one of the rarest species of baboon in collections. Adult males are twice the size of females and grow a silvery cape of fur.
This is an excellent adult male example of the species sourced from a US collection. It is missing two incisors but in great condition overall for the rare species. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
