Alaskan Archipelago Wolf Skull #01062
This is the skull of an Alexander Archipelago wolf!
The gray wolf is a canine native to North America, Europe, and Asia. It is the largest extant wild canid and is highly social and intelligent. The Alexander Archipelago wolf or Islands wolf is a wolf endemic to the islands and coastal areas of southeast Alaska. Like many island-dwelling populations, it is smaller than the mainland populations. It is pictured with a typical mainland example – you are purchasing the skull on the left only.
This is a beautiful large example of the subspecies with intact nasal turbinates and good teeth. An incisor is chipped. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed population (ID, MT, and AK populations are not listed) and is legal to sell and possess. However, gray wolf parts cannot be sold to all states, so please know your local laws before inquiring. US sales only, sorry!
