This is the feather of a male paradise riflebird!

The paradise riflebird (Ptiloris paradiseus) is a species of bird-of-paradise native to Australia. Like most birds-of-paradise, males of this species perform elaborate mating dances, displaying their iridescent blue neck feathers.
Sourced from an old US collection, this feather has been attractively displayed in a frame against a stock image (commercial license purchased) of a displaying male paradise riflebird. This piece contains a beautiful black and iridescent blue neck feather from a male specimen. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
