This is the shell of a six-banded armadillo!
The six-banded armadillo is an unusual armored mammal found in South America. It is named for the six bands on its carapace. It is the third largest extant species of armadillo, only outsized by the giant armadillo and greater long-nosed armadillo.
This is an interesting preserved shell of the species in good condition. It has some minor flaws and could use further cleaning. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
