This is the skull of an American bison!

The iconic American bison is a large bovid native to the grasslands of North America. It is one of the largest extant bovids and the biggest North American land mammal. Large bulls may weigh more than a ton!
This is an interesting subadult example in great condition. The mandible is glued to the maxilla and it has been wired for hanging. It is rare to find examples of the species at this age! Please review all pictures and description for condition.
