This is a pair of quills from a short-beaked echidna!

The short-beaked echidna is an unusual egg-laying monotreme mammal native to Australia and New Guinea. It is covered in spines and well-adapted for digging. It is a toothless insectivore with a greatly reduced mandible. Material from this species is rare.
This is a nice pair of quills from an old US collection in excellent condition. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
