This is the skull of a Eurasian green woodpecker!

The Eurasian green woodpecker (Picus viridis) is a large green woodpecker native to Europe. Unlike many woodpecker species, it feeds frequently on ants on the ground.
This is a nice example of the species sourced from a US collection. It is in excellent condition. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is a legal bird skull – it is not from an ESA- or MBTA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
