XL Cougar Skull #01266

This is the skull of a cougar!

The cougar or mountain lion is a large cat native to most of North, Central, and South America. Despite its size and appearance, it is more closely related to the small cats of the subfamily Felinae.
This is an incredible extra large male example with huge canine teeth and a very pronounced sagittal crest. It measures very close to 9 inches long and 6 inches wide – one of the largest cougars we have ever offered! I am not sure it would score the coveted 15 inches when properly calipered, but it’s either just there or darn near close. It is in great condition with excellent teeth and intact nasal turbinates. The jaw is wired to the skull and there are holes from where it was attached to a plaque. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. However, cougar parts cannot be sold to all states, so please know your local laws before inquiring. US sales only, sorry!
