This is the skull of a fetal large hairy armadillo!

The large hairy armadillo is a(n aptly-named) large and hairy armadillo species native to South America in Argentina, Bolivia and Paraguay. This species is a rare find in collections, especially compared to the more commonly seen nine-banded armadillo.
This is a very special stillborn example of the rare species in great condition. This delicate piece still has some beetle frass attached. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
