Domestic Dog Skull #01285

This is the skull of a domestic dog!

First domesticated over 15,000 years ago from an now-extinct wolf lineage, the dog was the first species to be domesticated by humans. Today, there are hundreds of distinct dog breeds that vary widely in size, appearance, and behavioral traits.
This is a nice vintage example of the dolichocephalic (long-headed) type. The exact breed of this specimen is unknown, but it resembles a large hound. It has been labeled with the parts of the skull and is missing some teeth. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
