Pathological Brown Bear Skull #01314

This is the skull of a brown bear!

The brown bear is a widespread and variable bear species native to North America and Eurasia. It varies greatly in size across its range; the biggest brown bear subspecies compete with the polar bear as the largest living land carnivoran.
This is a gorgeous adult example from old collection. Interestingly, this specimen has a “wry” (twisted) nose and an impacted upper right canine – it never grew in all the way! We’ve never seen this deformity in a bear before. The skull measures approximately 14 1/2 inches long and 8 inches wide. It is in excellent condition with intact nasal turbinates. Four incisors were restored. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. However, brown bear parts are restricted in some states, so please know your local laws before inquiring. US sales only, sorry!
