The American bullfrog is a large and successful frog species native to eastern North America. It has spread elsewhere and is invasive in some areas. The genus has fossil representatives dating back to the early Miocene.
This is an amazing composite fossil skull of the species from the Florida Pleistocene. The cranium is all original fossil composited onto a real modern American bullfrog skull. The fossil was legally collected in Florida. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
