Aardwolf Skull #01427

This is the skull of an aardwolf!

The aardwolf is a small, striped, insect-eating mammal native to Africa. It is actually a species of hyena: the smallest extant species and the last surviving member of the “dog-like” hyena lineage. Hyena skulls are highly coveted and getting harder to find. In our experience, aardwolves are rarer than spotted hyenas – we’ve only ever had a few examples.
This is a nice large adult example of the uncommon species in great shape. It could use further degreasing. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
