Brown-Throated Three-Toed Sloth Hide #01461

This is the hide of a brown-throated three-toed sloth!
Yes, three-toed sloth! The brown-throated three-toed sloth is a famously slow-moving arboreal mammal native to South America. It is one of five three-toed sloth species, distinguished from the distantly-related two-toed sloths by the number of digits on its front limbs. Three-toed sloths are virtually unheard-of in collections, and thus highly sought-after. This is the only hide we’ve ever offered for sale.
Sourced from an old US collection, this is a beautiful vintage hide from a male example of the species. It is in excellent condition with nice fur. I can NOT promise that it is mountable, as it is old and stiff, but it appears to be complete with all claws and the face intact. Even as a study skin, it’s an impressive piece. You likely won’t find another! Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
