Tar Pit Fossil Bird Corvus sp. Leg Bone #01504



This is a fossil Corvus sp. leg bone!
A rare opportunity! This is a fossil leg bone (femur) from a Pleistocene fossil corvid species. Sourced from an old collection, this specimen were originally collected decades ago from the McKittrick Tar Pits. The exact species is unknown, but there were at least three Corvus species found at the site.
This excellent fossil is in fantastic condition with beautiful color and solid preservation. It even still has that asphalt smell! Fossils from this site date to the late Pleistocene and are between 10,000 and 50,000 years old. Riker box included. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
