Yellow-Headed Amazon Taxidermy Mount #01556

This is the taxidermy mount of a yellow-headed Amazon!

The yellow-headed Amazon (Amazona oratrix) is a colorful parrot native to Mexico and Central America. It is a popular pet. Though the wild population of this species is in decline, these parrots readily breed in captivity.
This is a nice naturally-deceased captive/pet example of the species in beautiful vintage condition, mounted in a realistic flying posture. The feathers need fluffing, but they are gorgeous and solidly attached. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is a legal bird, sourced and mounted in the US – it is not from an ESA- or MBTA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
