This is a pair of teeth from a fossil marine mammal!

This is a nice pair of Paleoparadoxia desmostylian teeth from the California Miocene. Desmostylia is an extinct order of marine mammals probably related to the sirenians and proboscideans. They are named for their unique “pillar bundle” teeth. Zero restoration, from an old estate collection. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
As fossils, these pieces are not from ESA-listed species and are legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
