XL Pathological Cougar Skull #01576

This is the skull of a cougar!

The cougar or mountain lion is a large cat native to most of North, Central, and South America. Despite its size and appearance, it is more closely related to the small cats of the subfamily Felinae.
This is a huge vintage adult male example in good condition. It measures an impressive 8 1/2 inches long and 6 1/4 inches wide! This specimen has some healed areas around the orbit and maxilla, likely from fighting other cats. It has some chipped teeth, and a few tiny teeth are missing. It is an older piece that could use a clean-up, but is being sold as-is with no further cleaning. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
