This is the skull of a western tree hyrax!

The western tree hyrax is an unusual small mammal native to central Africa. Despite its resemblance to a rodent or rabbit, it is more closely related to elephants and sea cows!
Sourced from a US collection, this is a very nice and robust adult example of the species in good shape. Like all safari specimens, it was somewhat roughly cleaned and has some minor damage and losses. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
