Gray Wolf Skull #00505

This is the skull of a gray wolf!

The gray wolf is a canine native to North America, Europe, and Asia. It is the largest extant wild canid and is highly social and intelligent.
This is a beautiful adult example of the species with intact nasal turbinates and good teeth. This specimen is from Idaho. It has some damage to the rear but is otherwise excellent.
Interestingly, this specimen was found to have a stick stuck in its palate. We’ve seen this in cougars and dogs as well. It likely broke off and got stuck while the animal was chewing the stick.
Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed population (ID, MT, and AK populations are not listed) and is legal to sell and possess. However, gray wolf parts cannot be sold to all states, so please know your local laws before inquiring. US sales only, sorry!
