Greater Capybara Skull #00526

This is the skull of a capybara!

The famous greater capybara is the world’s biggest rodent, with the largest recorded specimens weighing up to 200 pounds! It is native to South America and closely related to the diminutive guinea pig.
This is a beautiful young adult example of the species. It measures 8 inches long. It has slightly lesser bone quality and a broken tooth, but is a nice specimen overall. It’s hard to find larger examples of this species! Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
