The Asiatic softshell turtle (Amyda cartilaginea) is a large freshwater turtle species native to Asia.
This is an awesome extra large vintage example of the species from a US collection. It is in excellent condition and not a recent Chinese import like most softshell turtle skulls in the trade. It measures 15.5 cm (6.1 in) long with attractive aged patina and the beak sheaths intact. It’s rare to find such a large example of this species! Please review all pictures and description for condition.
