Pronghorn Skull #01237


This is the skull of a pronghorn!

The pronghorn is an unusual artiodactyl native to western North America. It is the last surviving member of a once-diverse group that is most closely related to the giraffe and okapi.
This is a huge vintage male example with impressive horns. The left horn has a rough measurement of 13 1/4 inches long around the curve with 5 7/8-inch-wide bases, and the right horn roughly measures 13 3/8 inches long with 5 7/8-inch bases. It has a rough B & C score of 71 6/8″. The skull has been lightly painted white. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
