Pathological Fisher Skull #01261

This is the skull of a fisher!
The fisher is a medium-sized mustelid native to the northern forests of North America. It is sexually-dimorphic, with mature males almost twice the size of females with a well-developed sagittal crest.
This is a cool extra large female example of the species with pathology. The unfortunate animal was shot and survived, but a pellet got lodged in the frontal bones. The injury had begun to heal. This specimen has a sagittal crest – uncommon in females of this species – and a few naturally missing teeth. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
