Dingo Skull #01317

This is the skull of a dingo!
First domesticated over 15,000 years ago from an now-extinct wolf lineage, the dog was the first species to be domesticated by humans. The dingo is an ancient feral dog lineage of dubious taxonomic classification (is it a unique subspecies or a full species in its own right?) that has been present in Australia for at least 3,450 years. Dingo skulls are quite rare in collections.
This is a cool captive male example of the rare subspecies/species/type originally from Skulls Unlimited. It is from a geriatric individual that had many naturally-missing teeth. The skull exhibits a necropsy cut and the mandible is glued to the skull. Please review all pictures and description for condition.
This specimen is not from an ESA-listed species and is legal to sell and possess. US sales only, sorry!
